Telco Cloud Engineer/Architect

What you’ll do

We are looking for you to join our team as a Cloud Engineer to design, build and implement our Kubernetes-based cloud-native network function. Your code will help our solution to scale to hundreds of Gbps and run 24/24. End users will rely on your code for ensuring their Internet access availability and improved capacity.

In that mission, Tessares will help you with the following assets :

• The team: As part of the cloud development team, you will participate in a continuous feedback loop (e.g. through peer reviewing).
• The experience: You will work in close interaction with major contributors to the Multipath TCP protocol and implementation.
• Powerful servers: You will have access to high-end servers, designed to support line-rate forwarding. But will your code be able to sustain such a volume of traffic ?
• Yourself: As a recent start-up, we will be eager to receive input from you and strive to reach ever more ambitious objectives. Together.

Useful knowledge you have

We all need to be fluent in English, both written and spoken. For cloud software development, we mostly use the Golang programming language and closely interact with the Kubernetes platform. As cloud engineer, you will also closely interact with engineers from telco operators in order to integrate the solution within their NFV platform. Given your very network-oriented role, it would be good that you master TCP/IP protocols. Experience in a cloud environment (e.g. Kubernetes or Openstack.) and a familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD tooling & best practices would be a definitive plus.
